Twinara Translator is built by Twinara Technologies Private Limited ("we", "us", "our"). This app is designed with privacy as the core principle. This page informs you of our policies regarding the collection, use, and disclosure of personal data when you use our app.

1. Data Collection

We do not collect any personal data. Twinara Translator is a 100% offline application. All processing — voice recognition, translation, and text-to-speech — happens entirely on your device.

  • No personal information (name, email, phone number) is collected
  • No audio recordings are sent to any server
  • No translated text is transmitted anywhere
  • No usage data or analytics are collected
  • No translation history is stored on our servers

2. Microphone Permission

The app requests microphone access solely for on-device voice recognition. Audio is processed locally on your device and is never recorded, stored, or transmitted to any external server.

3. Camera Permission

The app requests camera access for the Camera Translate feature. Images captured are processed locally on your device for text recognition (OCR) and are never uploaded, stored, or shared.

4. Internet Permission

Internet access is required only for:

  • Initial download of translation language models (one-time setup, approximately 30 MB per language)
  • Subscription management through Google Play Billing

No user data is transmitted during these operations.

5. On-Device Storage

The app stores AI models and translation history locally on your device. This data never leaves your phone. You can clear history at any time from within the app settings.

6. Third-Party Services

The app uses the following third-party services:

  • Google ML Kit — On-device translation engine. All processing happens locally; no data is sent to Google servers.
  • Google Play Billing — For subscription management only. Payment processing is handled entirely by Google Play.
  • RevenueCat — For subscription state management. Only anonymous subscription status is tracked; no personal data is shared.

7. Children's Privacy

Our app does not target anyone under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personally identifiable information from children under 13. If you are a parent or guardian and believe your child has provided us with personal information, please contact us.

8. Subscriptions & Payments

Twinara Translator offers an optional premium subscription:

  • Price: ₹99 per month
  • Billing: Managed through Google Play
  • Cancellation: Cancel anytime through Google Play Store → Subscriptions
  • Payment processing is handled entirely by Google Play and is subject to Google's privacy policy.

9. Data Retention

Since we do not collect any personal data, there is no data to retain or delete. Translation history stored locally on your device can be cleared from the app settings.

10. Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update our Privacy Policy from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated "Last updated" date.
